Chapter 11
∞∞∞
Miranda laid on the floor bleeding. The dagger struck her through the back narrowly missing her heart as it protruded out the front.
“Shit. Shit. Shit.” I said as I ran through the house to gather supplies to tend to our wounds.
I came back into the living room with arms full of towels, gauze, alcohol, and other things as Miranda let out a piercing scream. Stephanie had pulled the dagger out of her chest. Sydney was leaning over Miranda with her hand hovering above her chest. They were glowing orange as she healed her wounds.
“Oh, thank God she’s ok!” I cried dropping everything on the floor. Thinking of how we barely made it out of there before they killed us. Sydney made her way around the room healing each of us. By the time she finished she was swaying and looking pale.
“Come sit down before you fall down.” I said when she finished.
“What are we doing at Rebecca’s house?” Stephanie asked.
“I don’t know. I was trying to get us back to the hotel but it led here instead.” She replied.
“Okay, let me call her while everyone gets cleaned up.” I said picking up the phone.
I called Rebecca and told her what happened. She was totally freaking out and about to leave work. It took me a while to convince her that we were ok and would wait for her to come home. Rebecca wasn’t getting off of work until morning so we can recuperate here. I went upstairs and took a shower after I got off the phone. She’ll be ok with us raiding her closet. I heard Annie yell as I was coming down the stairs.
“Look what I found!” she said walking out of the kitchen with a bottle whiskey.
“Yes! Pour me some of that!” Ashely said excitedly.
After the day we’ve had, a little drink wouldn’t hurt. Plus, we could use something to calm our nerves. We sat around the living room sipping our drinks. This lasted for a couple of hours and soon everyone fell asleep.
“I’m home! Tell me what the hell happened!” Rebecca yelled coming through the front door.
“Quit talking so damn loud, my head hurts” I said as I woke up. “We stayed up pretty late drinking all your whiskey.”
“Serves you right for drinking all my shit.” She said walking into the living room. “Now everybody wake the hell up.”
“Fine, I’ll go start the coffee. And there had better be fucking coffee.” I mumbled angrily.
Everyone gradually woke up at Rebecca’s incessant questions. I made sure to make enough coffee for everyone before a riot happened. We poured our coffee’s and sat at the kitchen table. I started off telling her how we were attached while out doing laundry. I told her about torturing the demon that followed us through Miranda’s portal. And how we planned to kill and burn his body. I told her about us getting our asses handed to us by the Master Demons and how we barely escaped and accidently came here.
She was speechless.
